Only in the tropics, that one place of solitude.....do you realize how majestic mother nature has become.

My ability to draw did not originate out of thin air. You could say my talent is a hand me down from my birth dad, who I haven稚 heard from in over ten years. It is unfortunate, but I致e managed to move on and in doing so, allowed my artist skills to flourish. The many pieces of work I致e done over the years range from simple drawings on scrap pieces of paper to large scale projects such as my Chinese Dragon.

With the introduction of new movies like Lord of the Rings and games such as Final Fantasy my thoughts on what could be created took another course. Before I knew it I was drawing characters and places from different worlds. I was hooked and soon realized becoming an artist is my destiny.

People accept the fact that this is the world we live in. there are no Dragons, flying chariots or living gnomes. Ways out of our reality and into fantasy realms have been video games, movies comic books and from time to time a myth or two. Humans love seeing and hearing about things that don稚 exist because for them it痴 a break from the real world. The same thing can be said about my art, for me it adds a mixture of fun.

Seeing a different reaction from various people based on what they see is pure enjoyment for me. Well sure that artist drew a tree, a tree isn稚 all that interesting because people see trees every day. On the other hand you don稚 see Hercules wrestling Cerberus every day do you? Opening a dimension into a world filled with creatures, places and beings that you don稚 see everyday and bringing it to life on a piece of paper is my goal as an artist.

I hope that one day I can take what I致e learned from school and focus it into a career. I have not been given the ability to draw for no reason and I cannot put it to waste. I will take this gift and put it to good use and show everyone that just because certain things do not exist doesn稚 mean they cannot exist on paper. Everything I draw is fantasy based because it is what I致e grown to love.

The many pieces of work I致e done over the years range from simple drawings on scrap pieces of paper to large scale projects such as my Chinese Dragon. Up until I reached age ten I have been doodling and sketching everything but fantasy. With the introduction of new movies like Lord of the Rings and games such as Final Fantasy ten, my thoughts on what could be created took another course. Before I knew it I was drawing characters and places from different worlds. I was hooked and soon realized, becoming an artist is my destiny.

Drawing with graphite at the moment is my specialty. I have yet to draw with graphite and color, creating more value and realism. Until I understand the technique of drawing with color I will continue to improve my work with graphite. Mastering these two will give me a greater advantage as an artist, giving me more to work with.

I gamed and partied for over 33 hours. A awoke Sun. morning and finally crashed Mon. evening at 6:30.

I think it is a lifes accomplishment personally but I've learned a lesson. When the sun goes down, you go down, or stay up till a reasonable hour.

have a good break everyone!!
